Pilgrimage to the Great Altars of the Peruvian Andes

Ximena Pilgrimage Peru

Good morning dear Casa del Sol family,

We hope this message finds you in good health and well-being. We are delighted to reconnect with you through this medium after several weeks of silence. We would like to share some of the reflections and inspiration that the last project of Casa del Sol has left us with: the Pilgrimage through the most important energetic Sanctuaries of the Andes in Inca territory. This is a project we hold dear and offer only once a year.

This year, our call was answered by 10 souls, fully prepared to move to their very core. For two weeks in August, we walked, guided by our teachers under very demanding conditions, ascending up to 6000 meters above sea level, with initiations, learnings, and prayers that reached deep into our souls. We were immersed in the most heavenly landscapes of the Andean world.

These words are a tribute to the ancestral wisdom of the Peruvian Andes. A homage to the noble guardians who uphold the legacy that our grandparents and ancestors cultivated as a path of return to our true essence. To those beings who live simply in their communities, practicing service for the collective well-being.

To my teachers Rufino Turpo, Julia Condori, and Alejandro Apaza, who opened the doors to their lineages for us, supported us, and shared their knowledge and technologies with immense generosity. And mainly because in the refuge of their embrace, in the sincere and sweet glow of their gazes, hope and faith are always renewed toward the human miracle that is possible to embody through love. And they are the evidence. Honor to their Apus and their Ñustas, in the sublime codes in which they are woven with the divine.

Thus, each being walks their own legend, in their free will and the possibilities that arise from their soul. The paths are living threads, strands that weave beyond time, in a mysterious warp through which, as we recognize and remember ourselves, we gather fragments of ourselves in our process of returning to unity with the Divine. The elders say we should meditate on the rainbow and find in one color the path that will lead us to pass through the seven gates of the Soul’s Learning. In these prophetic times, where many lineages have opened their books, and where also many reckless ones have mixed different recipes creating much confusion, we humbly recognize the sacred privilege of contacting practices that have remained pure from their origins, and with well-guarded Sanctuaries that are Living Sources of memory, strength, and vitality.

The path is truly demanding, pure truth. The trials are great and difficult, just as the gifts and learnings are generous… A pilgrimage is like the purest metaphor of our transient journey on this earth and our search for God. The path is the school, and walking it is the instruction. The path is already carved, the way opened, but we must learn to see it and, above all, manage to listen to it.From where you started, you shall never return. It is an unpredictable journey of trust and will. The mountain teaches you to cross the borders of your own limits, over and over again. To connect with the rawest and finest language of nature, which helps you strip away all kinds of artifices and truly look at yourself.

What fortune, what wealth to experience this wild way of walking!! And to fall deeply in love with this sacred existence, filling yourself with sublime essences to have this abundance in the quality of your sharing.

In the Andean world, they call Sallk’a that essence of the wild. That which dwells within us and can never be tamed. And for them, it is a source of courage, strength, and connection with the pure and true. And so, simply by walking, you realize that purity can only be embodied in a heart cleansed of resentment. The shine of purity is achieved through forgiveness. Each lagoon, each spring, each hill, each stone becomes that medicine the heart needs to remember how to heal.

The path is this “here and now” where we are. Sometimes, we simply need to step out of all that is known to contact greater perspectives for our self-discovery, and sometimes, Spirit grants us the gift of meeting teachers who are beacons for our navigation.

With these voices, which spoke to us with the wind, from the heart of this home, we encourage you to care for yourselves as if you were your greatest love. To have the daring to believe and create without limits what your heart yearns for, to be genuinely happy, even if it means disappointing those who keep you captive in their expectations.

Love is coherence with the wisdom of the heart.

Urpillay Sonq’ollay…
